Scotish pistol, manufactured by Murdoch of Dowane in 1760 Denix 1246
The original 18th Century Scottish flintlock pistol was created by T. Murdoch, and is believed to be the pistol that “Fired the Shot Heard ‘Round the World” at Lexington, Massachusetts starting the American Revolution. This beautiful all metal non-firing flintlock replica by Denix of Spain is heavily engraved and embossed and measures 12 inches overall. Consisting of all-metal, this model has moving parts and a heavily detailed and beautifully embossed body including the barrel. A belt hook is in place on the left side for securing the pistol to the waistband. Rotate the frizzen, cock the hammer, and pull the trigger – the hammer falls just as it did in that small Massachusetts town more than 250 years ago. This elegant and ornate replica represents one of the most significant moments in American history.
