Filling a rifle or pressure vessel is safe and hassle-free thanks to an automatic cut-off that the user sets to the desired pressure (when the compressor reaches the set filling pressure, it will automatically shut off). The cooling fans will continue to run to cool the compressor.
This small portable compressor can pump air PCP pistols or rifles directly up to 320 bar when needed. The Borner GX-E-CS3 Compressor can charge your PCP Air Gun using the included transformer station or from a 12V DC source (such as a conventional car’s 12V starter battery). The refueling time for a standard PCP air gun is 5-12 minutes.
However, it should be borne in mind that this is not a full replacement for large compressors designed for industrial filling of large cylinders. This compressor is smaller, slower and not designed to run more than 15 minutes without interruption, but is still an absolute price/performance unit. The compressor is air-cooled and can run for up to 15 minutes, which is more than enough to fill most PCP air guns. After this time, the compressor must be stopped and the internal cooling fan allowed to continue running to cool the unit. After a 15 minute cooldown, the compressor can be restarted.
